My brothers absence is missed- not just the loud noises and being woken up in some absurd way everymorning. Before flying back to Ashville he left some little reminders of his presence around the house. Googely eyes on my taxidermy and various cutout faces reaplied to artworks. Par Example- this statue of St Theresa I have sitting by my bed.
On a blissful post-Christmas afternoon with fresh snow and cold air- Erik,Reba,Collin and I took a long walk over the hills and through the Black Forest to the tiny village (population 350) or Feuerbach where Collin and I grew up. There is nothing so nostalgic as this place to me and nothing so peacefull as the familiar trees, brambles and vinyards all through the valley.
One of the best projects I've had the privelage and fatigue of working on were this years Christmas windows at the Paris Market along with fabulous Shelby Massey. Now that the Christmas season is at its end I've gotten word that all the little elves have been sold off. Au Revoir!
Artist and Illustrator! I grew up in Europe but now live in Savannah, Georgia- where I work out of my studio home that I share with my talented husband (and also Illustrator) Erik Riley. I'm always delighted to work on a project that stretches my creative horizon. I work on jobs for both professional publication and private commission and always love hearing from just about anyone!
